A vertically oriented gum tempera and ink painting depicts Kali standing atop Shiva. Kali faces us with dark blue skin, four arms, and a protruding tongue. A pink halo with red rays encircles her head. She wears silver jewelry and a yellow sash; her hands to our right hold a sword and severed head. Shiva, with light skin and dark outlines, lies beneath her feet on green ground against an off-white backdrop.
