A horizontally oriented ink and color handscroll depicts dozens of small figures with light skin tones. Moving from left to right across a plain tan background, they wear robes and hats in muted shades of blue, black, and red. The figures walk, lead a horse, or carry loads on shoulder poles. Some sit in small groups, while others carry bundles of brushwood. These isolated scenes float across the expansive paper.
