Description

This official's portrait was done in the portrait painting style of the Ming dynasty.
A vertically oriented ink and color painting on silk depicts a portrait of a man with a light skin tone, mustache, and goatee facing forward. He wears a tall black hat and a red robe with a decorative chest patch of birds and clouds. Seated on a chair draped with tiger skin, he rests his feet on a footstool over a patterned rug. A long blue tassel hangs to our right.
