A hanging scroll in black ink depicts a tall, vertical rock textured with light washes and dark dots. Bamboo stalks with narrow, pointed leaves grow upward, some overlapping the rock's surface. On the right, vertical columns of Chinese calligraphy appear beside two small red seals. Varying ink tones define the composition against a beige background, creating depth through overlapping forms and tonal contrast between the dark, sharp foliage and the pale, textured stone.
