Description

The figure in pink is playing a qin, a seven-stringed zither. The sound of the musical instrument symbolizes the harmony between humanity and nature; literati are often depicted playing qin in landscape settings.
An album leaf in ink and light color depicts two figures with light skin tones seated beneath a rocky cliff. In the center, a figure in a pink robe sits with their back turned, playing a qin. To the left, an older man in a gray robe sits cross-legged, facing them. A gnarled tree with dabs of dark leaves arches over from the right. Chinese calligraphy and a red seal mark the top right.
