Did You Know?

The woman, who is walking by a blossoming cherry tree on embankment overlooking the sea, pulls a letter from her sash.
A vertically oriented black ink drawing depicts a woman walking beneath a flowering tree. Facing left, she carries a small cup and lifts the hem of her patterned kimono. To our right, a gnarled tree trunk arches over her, its branches heavy with blossoms. Fine, precise lines define her elaborate hairstyle and the textured bark. Japanese calligraphy and a seal mark the lower right corner, set against a simple ground.
