Did You Know?

The artist has used a small paper patch inked with a hand to change the hand position of the figure holding the net.
A vertically oriented ink drawing on cream paper with a rounded top depicts the gods Ebisu and Daikoku in a boat. Both have light skin, mustaches, and wear caps. Ebisu leans over the edge, holding a line that descends into the water. Below, two fish swim horizontally alongside a reaching crab. At the bottom, an octopus extends a tentacle toward a hooked round fish. Fluid, sketchy black ink strokes define the scene.
