A vertical hanging scroll in ink and color on beige paper depicts a mountain landscape with undulating tan peaks. Streaky gray lines layered with darker outlines convey textured slopes, while a thin waterfall flows behind a small pavilion with an orange roof. Chinese calligraphy and a red seal feature in the upper left. Clusters of trees with dark green foliage fill the foreground, where several small animals stand in a stream at the bottom.
