A vertically oriented ink and color painting depicts Monju seated atop a large, dark lion amidst a dark, atmospheric background. Monju, with a medium-light skin tone, wears ornate robes and holds a staff. Below, four attendants with medium-light skin tones surround the lion's base. A bearded man in red leads the beast by a rope on our lower left. Above, a long, reddish ribbon trails through the air while swirling clouds drift around.
