Did You Know?

This armilla or arm ornament has a ridge along the spine, ending in a large spiral at one end.
A weathered bronze sculpture consists of a single wire winding into a large vertical spiral. Below, the metal swoops downward into a wide horizontal loop forming a base, terminating in a tight, flat curl. A greenish-brown patina with patches of oxidation covers the surface, detailed with a pitted, aged texture. Highlights glint off the rounded edges, emphasizing the rhythmic form as it transitions from the top coil to the small grounded foot.
