A vertically oriented gum tempera painting depicts a festive courtyard framed by a red and black border. On our left, Krishna, blue-skinned and in yellow garments, sprays yellow liquid toward drum-playing men on the right. Above, Radha and other women lean from arched white balconies, showering the scene with pink and yellow streams. Intricately rendered figures and architecture fill the composition against a pale courtyard and blue sky.
