A horizontally oriented tempera painting depicts Vishnu, a god with blue skin, and Lakshmi, a woman with medium-light skin tone, seated on a purple lotus atop Garuda. Facing left against a yellow background, the four-armed, green-skinned Garuda has a red beak. Vishnu holds a conch and gold ring while Lakshmi sits on his lap. Both wear patterned garments and gold jewelry. Garuda's additional hands hold a pink lotus and a stone.
