A vertically oriented ink painting on a hanging scroll depicts two dark-furred monkeys among pale, craggy rocks. Near the top, one monkey hangs upside down, extending a long arm to hold a small leaf. Below, another monkey with a red face and light-colored chest sits, looking upward. Soft, blurred brushwork defines their forms against the beige background. Columns of black calligraphy and red seals are positioned on the right edge.
