A hanging scroll with ink and slight color on beige paper depicts a samurai in red-accented armor atop a leaping gray horse. Clad in a horned helmet and holding a long bow, the figure gallops toward our left over frothy, undulating waves. To our right, a rocky cliff rises, topped by a blossoming tree with delicate white dots. A vertical inscription in black ink features on the right side above the water.
