A vertically oriented hanging scroll in black ink on paper depicts Monk Kenshu, a man with light skin tone and a bald head, smiling as he looks to our right. In the lower half, Kenshu holds a small shrimp in his outstretched right hand. He wears a dark, mottled vest over light robes. Calligraphy and a red circular seal appear on the left against a plain background.
