Did You Know?

This metal pin was used to fasten clothing.
A cast and wrought bronze garment pin features a long, tapering shaft oriented diagonally toward the lower right. The dark metal shows a mottled green and brown patina. At the top, a bulbous head is decorated with horizontal ridges and capped with a small, flat disk. The shaft thins to a needle-sharp point. Subtle lighting highlights alternating smooth and textured patches across the object's slender, elegant form.
