A vertically oriented ink painting on silk features a gnarled plum tree trunk rising from the bottom. Delicate, fine-lined branches with white blossoms extend across the center, where two sparrows perch. Behind, tall bamboo stalks rise against muted brown washes. Varied brushstrokes define the trunk's rough texture. Columns of black calligraphy and a red square seal mark the lower right.
