A vertically oriented ink and color painting on silk depicts a bald man with a white beard wearing flowing tan and gray robes. He holds a knotted wooden staff. Behind him, a large tiger with dark stripes crouches on our left, its spotted tail curving upward on our right. Fluid lines and muted washes define the figures against a plain background, with black ink characters and a red seal at the lower right.
