A vertically oriented hanging scroll in ink and color on silk depicts a long-tailed bird perched on a snowy branch. Facing right against a muted gray background, the bird sits atop thick white pigment coating drooping boughs. Its greenish tail feathers extend downward, mirroring the composition's verticality. Broad, dark strokes define the trunk while thin lines form twigs. Japanese calligraphy in black ink appears in the lower left, framed by decorative silk borders.
