A vertically oriented ink and color hanging scroll depicts two monkeys on a rocky ledge. A gnarled tree branch with sparse leaves sweeps from the upper left across the sandy-brown silk. One monkey reaches upward toward the branch, while a second sits below, back turned. Faint pine needles emerge from behind the figures. A column of black characters and red seals marks the lower-left corner.
