Painter and calligrapher Wu Rangzhi was also an expert in seal cutting.
A vertical hanging scroll depicts an ink and color botanical scene on a tan background. From the upper right, a branch with large, dark-inked rounded leaves and smaller pointed ones curves inward. A thick, gray-washed branch bends sharply across the center. Below, a plant with elongated blue-green leaves and clusters of pale pink blossoms grows upward. Vertical Chinese calligraphy and a small red seal mark the lower right edge.
