A vertically oriented gum tempera painting depicts Shiva and Parvati with blue and medium skin tones against a tan background. On our left, stocky Shiva wears a yellow striped loincloth and a mustache. On our right, Parvati wears a purple and yellow patterned sari and holds a thin, circular garland between raised hands toward Shiva. Both wear ornate jewelry and pointed crowns in front of faint graphite sketches.
