Centered on aged paper, this vertically oriented gum tempera and graphite painting depicts a woman with yellow skin on our right. Dressed in a purple top, striped blue and green skirt, and red veil, she looks left, holding cords. To our left, a small child with dark-blue skin and a peacock feather reaches toward a large yellow pot beside a wooden frame. Behind them, a faint graphite sketch outlines a larger, ethereal figure.
