A vertically oriented gum tempera painting depicts five women with large, expressive eyes surrounding a blue-skinned infant reclining on a red bed. To our left, a blue-skinned child sits on a yellow stool. The women wear vibrant saris; one lifts a patterned red cloth while others crouch or stand centrally. These figures with ornate jewelry emerge from a muted green background, all enclosed within a thick black border.
