Description

Here a divine sibling pair, Balarama and Krishna, are portrayed as mirror images of one another.
A vertically oriented gum tempera and graphite painting depicts the gods Balarama and Krishna beside each other. On our left, the light-skinned Balarama wears purple garments, while the dark blue-skinned Krishna wears yellow on our right. Both feature large eyes, elaborate silver jewelry, and peacock-feathered crowns. They stand with crossed legs on a yellow circular base. Behind them hangs a red-striped textile, and a green sash wraps around their waists.
