A horizontal ink and tempera painting depicts a vibrant battle. On our left, a massive blue-skinned figure with a feathered crown looms behind a small archer in red aiming a blue bow right. Opposite them, an archer in a green patterned tunic draws his bow from a chariot drawn by blue horses, guided by a small blue charioteer. Numerous arrows fly between them. Flat, bold washes of red, green, and blue fill the figures.
