A vertically oriented oil painting depicts four figures before a weathered wall. On our left, a man with a light skin tone stands draped in white, his back to us. Beside him, another figure with a light skin tone reclines. Within a dark, central doorway sit two people with medium skin tones; one wears a red robe and white headscarf. Thick, gestural brushwork creates a textured backdrop of muted tans and browns.
