Description

This print was published in the magazine L’Assiette au Beurre (March 1, 1902 ) as plate 15 from the series Crimes and Punishments.
A vertically oriented lithograph depicts two older men with light skin tones in a sparse office. In the foreground, a bald man in a black coat sits viewed from behind, pointing one finger toward a wall clock reading ten past one. A green ledger labeled "CAISSE" rests on the desk. To our left, a second man in spectacles glares from a doorway, clutching a book under one arm.
