Did You Know?

Through the columns on the left, there's a glimpse of the minbar, the staircaselike pulpit from which a sermon is delivered by the imam, prayer leader, after Friday services.
A vertically oriented color lithograph depicts the interior of a mosque with red and white striped arches. Stone columns to our left and right support the arches. In the center, men with medium-dark skin tones wear turbans and robes while seated on the floor. To our right, a figure sits atop a raised white pulpit with a ladder. Several men stand in the foreground. Small windows and a wooden ceiling are visible high above.
