Two vertically oriented manuscript pages feature black and red Persian calligraphy within scalloped cloud shapes. These forms float over a dense background of two tone gold foliage and small birds. Each page is enclosed by thin concentric borders of gold, red, and blue. The layered gold surface creates a shimmering texture behind the fluid characters. The script is arranged in horizontal bands, standing out against the intricate floral patterned background. The gold has tarnished slightly.
