A circular ink on silk painting depicts a desolate winter landscape. Spindly, leafless trees with dark branches lean right over a snow-covered ground. To the left, a small building and wooden fence sit at the base of a massive, smooth, light-colored slope. The monochromatic composition uses dark ink on aged, brown silk. Faint calligraphy is visible in the upper left, casting a quiet, somber mood over the scene.
