A painted tamarisk wood steering oar stands vertically. Its long, thin shaft is banded in reddish-brown, white, and black, ending in a bird-like head. The wide, pointed blade features green leaf patterns at the top and base. Centered on its reddish-orange surface, two large eyes with black outlines sit above a pair of green rosettes. Surface wear is visible across the blade's decoration as it tapers toward a pointed bottom.
