A painted wood sculpture features a seated figure facing forward. A reddish-brown face and neck are framed by a rounded black hairpiece and a short beard. Large eyes and thick black eyebrows define the face. A layer of white paint covers the body, representing a garment concealing the limbs. A prominent vertical crack splits the wood across the torso, while chips in the paint reveal the pale wood beneath the surface.
