A sculpture depicts a beetle carved from steatite, a mottled tan and brown stone polished to a smooth sheen. Deeply incised lines divide the shell and define the notched head, with faint turquoise glaze lingering in the recessed grooves. To our left, a thin vertical crack marks the oval body. Angled lines detail the wing cases, while the surface shows a worn texture with green specks highlighting the intricate carvings.
