A gold and calcite gesso bead features an elongated, teardrop-shaped body that tapers from a rounded top to a narrow base. Small circular openings for stringing mark each end. Its surface displays a warm, reddish-gold tone with a weathered, pitted texture. Patches of gold foil flake away to reveal a dark, textured core beneath, creating a mottled effect across the tapering form.
