A hanging scroll in muted tones depicts a vertical landscape of craggy mountains shrouded in light mist. Large, rounded peaks dominate the background, while dense clusters of brushstrokes convey dark green trees and waterfalls descending into a valley. A winding pathway leads toward large pine trees and small buildings in the foreground, where figures are suggested through just a few brief strokes. Chinese calligraphy and red seals occupy the upper right corner.
