Did You Know?

This drawing is a preparatory sketch for United States currency, proposed during President Taft's administration.
A vertically oriented graphite drawing on tan paper depicts a muscular, nude man with a light skin tone. Facing right, his right arm reaches behind his head to grasp thin stalks, while his left arm is bent near his hip. He stands with his right leg extended and his left knee resting on a horizontal ledge. Fine shading defines his form, his genitalia is shown, and a signature sits at bottom right.
