A vertically oriented color woodblock print depicts a woman with light skin tone reclining behind a black lacquered table. Wearing a patterned mauve robe and ornate hairpins, she rests her head against a circular fan. Above her, a cloud-like shape contains women carrying a palanquin. An inset on our right displays a silhouette procession above a sleeping figure. Vertical Japanese calligraphy appears on the book and along the right side.
