A crossbow bolt features a horizontal, hand-carved wooden shaft marked by dark grain and slight irregularities. Tapering toward the right, the shaft meets a triangular, dull gray steel head with a weathered finish. Toward the left, two curved pieces of brown leather fletching are secured to opposite sides. The organic texture of the wood contrasts with the smooth metal tip and the soft, rounded silhouettes of the leather.
