A circular gilded brass shield boss features a central, protruding lion head with a thick, stylized mane. A wide concentric band depicts small human figures interspersed with raised oval shapes, all enclosed by a twisted, rope-like border. Small holes and two dark rivets punctuate the outer rim. The weathered golden surface displays intricate textures and a warm patina throughout the metalwork.
