A horizontally oriented fragment of chainmail mesh is composed of interlocking steel rings, creating a dense, repetitive texture in muted gray. The piece features frayed edges and a large, jagged cutout along the bottom. Small gaps interrupt the weave across the surface, and two tiny round metal tags are fastened to the left vertical edge. The object rests against a background that transitions from charcoal to light gray.
