A horizontally oriented etching looks over water toward a wooded bank. In the foreground, dark horizontal lines form rippling reflections. On our left, a wooden structure with a small tower sits atop a dark bank. To our right, tall trees with tangled branches rise along the shore against a pale sky. Visible plate marks frame the scene, where fine hatching creates texture throughout. A signature and date appear in the lower right corner.
