A horizontally oriented etching in sepia ink on cream paper depicts a misty harbor. A dark steamship with twin masts and smokestacks rests right of center, its reflection bleeding into the water's horizontal ripples. Beyond, the faint, sketchy skyline of Venice reveals the tall St Mark's Campanile to the left. A small red stamp anchors the lower right corner, while the plate mark's indentation frames the delicate, hazy scene.
