A horizontally oriented etching in black ink depicts sailing ships on a sea of cresting waves. Below, dense cross-hatches create dark troughs between frothing peaks. On the left, a small boat tilts sharply right. To the right, a larger ship with billowing sails leans away from a dark landmass. In the upper half, thick, hatched clouds fill the sky. An inscription is visible at the bottom left.
