Description

The “High Level” or Detroit-Superior Bridge appears in the foreground of this etching, and the Ohio Bell Telephone Building is in the upper right. To the left, the lower floors of the Terminal Tower are under construction. Excavation of the site began in 1924 and construction of the steel frame commenced in 1927, the year Schutz made this etching.
