A horizontally oriented lithograph features a tiered, white and beige monastery built into a gray cliffside. In the lower left foreground, five robed figures rest on a rocky ledge. The central structure includes a terracotta dome and tall towers. Layered, peach-toned rock formations rise to the right, framing a deep, shadowy gorge. A pale, hazy sky extends across the top, highlighting the dramatic vertical scale of the canyon landscape.
