Description

Luigi Lucioni painted Granite Sheds in Landscape while visiting a cousin who lived in Barre, Vermont. The city and its environs are renowned for granite quarries, among the largest in the world. At the time, granite extracted from quarries was transported to processing facilities, nicknamed sheds, where it was transformed from raw material into finished products.
