A vertically oriented brown ink etching on off-white paper depicts a wooden drawbridge spanning a canal. Several figures with light skin tones lean against the railing, with a tall, tiered spire rising in the center distance. A large wooden support frame stands on our right. Dense, overlapping hatches create deep shadows on the stone base and dark ripples in the water. Scratchy, light strokes texture the surrounding trees and hazy sky.
