Description

This is one of several pages that were removed from a unique manuscript of this otherwise unknown work, which bears a colophon stating that it was written by the author and finished "Ramadan, 741" (February 1341). Illustrations on both sides include various animals, trees, and objects such as weapons, musical instruments, and jewels.
Front and back of a vertically oriented book page with bands of black, gold, and orange text (see "Inscriptions") alternating with bands depicting rows of animals, plants, and objects such as weapons, musical instruments, and jewels. Most have backgrounds the cream of the paper, but some have an orange-red and one a peach orange background. Plants dot the background of each illustrated band.
