A jade bead is shaped like a small flared cylinder with a flat rim and narrower base. The mottled, pale-gray stone features a vertical streak of translucent brownish-green on the right side. Two parallel grooves are carved horizontally around the lower body. Small nicks and pits punctuate the smooth surface, particularly along the edges and top opening where the material appears weathered.
